I have had intensive training in psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. I am committed to a “bio-psycho-social” approach to all patients and believe that all patients, including children, adolescents, and adults, do best when they and all of their family members and significant supportive relationships are involved in their recovery from mental illness. I also believe that many individuals cannot truly benefit from psychotherapy until the biology of their mental illness is sufficiently addressed to allow them to settle into the process of  self-reflection and insight that may be gained thru  individual or family therapy.

The scientific advances in neurobiology, genetics, neurochemistry, and psychopharmacology in the past decade have revolutionized the psychiatric  evaluation and treatment of individuals with mental illness .
